Every Cell in Your Body Needs CoQ10 to Function
CoQ10 is present everywhere in the body and without it, our cells can't function. Every cell needs this vital coenzyme to create energy within the cell and keep up with life's unceasing demands on our bodies.
CoQ10 is the high octane fuel our body needs to think, act and move.
Without CoQ10, our cells would weaken—and so would our bodies. CoQ10 triggers our cell's production of energy—energetic cells are healthy cells and healthy cells are the fundamental components of a healthy body. Youthful bodies produce their own CoQ10, but as we age our ability to assimilate CoQ10 from food slows down and our reserves of CoQ10 are gradually depleted, therefore it
becomes more important to keep CoQ10 levels in our bodies stable.
Our Healthy Choice Naturals™ CoQ10 120mg supplement provides an extra strength 120mg of CoQ10, providing you with unmatched benefits. Unlike some CoQ10 supplements, our CoQ10 is 100% pure, Japanese pharmaceutical grade. It is manufactured under strict guidelines and is rigorously tested for purity, consistency and potency. The Japanese government requires CoQ10 to meet the highest manufacturing standards anywhere in the world and has established a 16 step process for manufacturing CoQ10. Don't settle for a lesser quality from questionable sources. You won't find a finer CoQ10 product. Order our 120mg CoQ10 gelcaps today.
What Is Coenzyme Q10?
CoQ10 stands for Coenzyme Q-10, the name given to this important nutrient by the scientific community and by the late Karl Folkers, Ph.D., who is considered the father of Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ-10).
While CoQ10 is found in virtually every cell in the body, its concentration varies depending on the tissue type and location. The heart contains more CoQ10 than any other organ in the body. Other major organs such as the liver require large amounts of Coenzyme Q10 to produce the energy needed to function properly. Therefore, CoQ10 deficiencies are likely to first affect the heart and other large organs; but effects due to a lack of CoQ10 may be seen in any organ, tissue or system in the body.
CoQ10's Vital Role
Coenzyme Q10 plays two important roles in the body. First, it helps in the energy production needed by our organs to function properly. More than 90 percent of the energy from our cells is produced from the aerobic respiration that takes place in the mitochondria, tiny organs present in each human cell. One of the main CoQ10 benefits is that it facilitates the electron transfer in the mitochondria for the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the usable unit of energy. ATP is the basic building block of the energy needed for the functioning of each cell and the life of the entire body.
Secondly, it acts as a powerful antioxidant to help fight free-radical damage at the cellular level.
CoQ10 is naturally present in small amounts in a wide variety of foods, but is particularly high in organ meats such as heart, liver and kidney, as well as beef, soy oil, sardines, mackerel and peanuts.
Trials, Studies and World Wide Recognition
For years, the Japanese have led the world in research on this amazing nutrient. In the mid-1970's, the Japanese perfected the technology to produce pure CoQ10 in quantities sufficient for large studies and clinical trials. As a result of one study, Peter Mitchell received the Nobel Prize in 1978 for his contribution to the understanding of biological energy transfer which includes the vital role of CoQ10 in the body's energy systems.
In 1986, a prominent CoQ10 researcher, Professor Karl Folkers, received the Priestly Medal and in 1990 he received the National Medal of Science from President Bush for his work with CoQ10. There are over 300 published papers about the health benefits of CoQ10.
CoEnzyme Q10 Deficiency
Over the 40-plus years of research, healthy levels of CoQ10 have been well established. It has also been discovered that low levels of CoQ10 have been noted as a possible contributing factor in a wide variety of conditions. The primary cause of CoQ10 deficiency is insufficient intake in our diets, aging, and losses in usable CoQ10 due to the commercial processing of many foods.
CoQ10 Helps Fight the Effects of Stress
Stress is ever present in our lives. Stress slows us down and the presence of stress can lead to exhaustion. How are we handling our own body's reserves of energy in times of stress now that we have become aware of stress's negative effects? CoQ10, which is naturally made by the body, supplies energy to combat fatigue and is one of your most important allies in the fight against stress supporting optimal wellness.
Who Should Take CoQ10 Supplements?
The highly respected Life Extension Foundation ranks CoQ10 in their top 10 anti-aging protocols. Unfortunately, most people don't get enough CoQ10 in their daily diets. It is also important to consider that research indicates natural CoQ10 production does, in fact, decrease as we get older.
Additionally, if you are over 40, it is possible you are deficient. It may be important to supplement CoQ10 to ensure that your body has the required amounts. You won't find a finer CoQ10 product, so order our 120mg CoQ10 gelcaps today.
